Open House and Open Portfolio Reviews
Paier College of Art hosts informal Open Portfolio Reviews. Classes will be in process durning the first time bracket. Great time to me the students and to see classes in progress. They are held in conjunction with the bi-annual open house and seasonal art shows. Prospective students and local artists are encouraged to attend. Interested individuals are simply asked to visit the campus on the appointed day (traditionally the Thursday and Saturday of the Art Show weekend.) Our reviews are always constructive. If you are intimidated by a formal appointment, this is the perfect opportunity. Take the first step towards assessing your skills.
In contrast to portfolio reviews offered elsewhere, Paier College of Art does not adhere to any conventional rules as to the number of pieces or style of work an individual presents. The intent of this review is to assist creative people in improving their presentations. Also, to better inform individuals of the possibility of art careers. There may be some avenues of design that you may never have considered. You will have the opportunity to speak with our professional staff of artists at the college. Additionally, you'll have the chance to meet some of our current students. Our students give tours and will talk candidly about being an art student. No prior registration, application, or fee is required. This is a public service offered to the community.
We hope you can find the time to visit us and see the work our student body is producing. Our faculty and staff at Paier understand that people have had different opportunities to develop and explore their interest towards art as a career. If you happen to miss this event, please contact Admissions and arrange for a personal interview. (203) 287-3031 firstname.lastname@example.org
